 Backstory
Through months
of travel and
study in Kenya,
the creators
of the Kenya
School Libraries
Program
had the privilege
of conversing
with people of
all walks of
life.
It was during
this period of
interaction,
reflection and
witness that
the idea for
KSLP began. Throughout
Kenya, we have
found highly
motivated and
highly intelligent
individuals who
are dismayed
at the current
state of Kenyan
education and
who are willing
to work for the
sake of better
education.
We hope that
work in the development
of libraries,
centers of independent
research and
thinking will
be the first
step toward fostering
the next generation
of self-empowered
and critically
minded Kenyans.

of time, material,
and support.
